About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer to provide technical service and support for medical diagnostic equipment and In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining medical electronic equipment while providing excellent technical support to customers and internal teams.

Candidates located in or near New Jersey are preferred, as the position requires regular field visits and flexibility to travel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer complaints, equipment malfunctions, and service requests from distributors and end users.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, sales teams, and marketing teams.
  • Perform on-site installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Support important projects and complex equipment failure cases at customer locations.
  • Conduct field visits to gather customer feedback and market information.
  • Repair and maintain equipment returned from customers.
  • Provide technical and service training to customers and end users.
  • Work with customers regarding service contracts, service orders, logistics, and related administrative activities.
  • Prepare routine service reports, business trip reports, and other documentation for management.
  • Participate in product technical updates and training meetings.
  • Assist with spare-parts inventory, stock management, and equipment tracking.
  • Research and support compliance with local regulations and authority requirements related to medical equipment servicing, registration, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Medical Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience servicing In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) medical devices.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and supporting medical electronic equipment.
  • Strong understanding of medical electronics and clinical applications.
  • Experience providing technical support to customers or end users.
  • Familiarity with procurement and maintenance/repair processes within local medical organizations.
  • Understanding of industry-related service and charging standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations as required.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to short-term travel assignments.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with IVD analyzers, diagnostic systems, laboratory equipment, or related medical devices.
  • Experience providing customer training on medical equipment.
  • Previous experience working with distributors, hospitals, laboratories, clinics, or medical organizations.
  • Knowledge of local medical-device regulations and service requirements.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on medical device service professional who can independently diagnose and repair complex equipment, communicate effectively with customers, and provide technical support in both field and service environments. The candidate should be comfortable with frequent customer interaction and flexible travel throughout the region.
