As a Nutritionist, you will engage in fulfilling work such as conducting diet assessments for women, infants, and children, providing personalized counseling, and teaching engaging nutrition education classes across various WIC sites in Ocean County.
Our WIC Program proudly serves the community with offices in Toms River, Lakewood, and Manahawkin, NJ. Enjoy a balanced work schedule with office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and extended hours on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

You'll educate individuals and groups on nutrition principles, essential for maintaining good health and supporting growth and development. By leading community initiatives, you'll help prevent and control dietary deficiency diseases.
Your expertise will guide dietary aspects crucial from prenatal care to aging, taking into account cultural food habits and current food costs.
With strong analytical skills, you'll prepare detailed reports and maintain essential records. Embrace technology as you work with electronic and manual information systems.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, Clinical Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Home Economics. The completion of a Verification Statement from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics indicating the completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) may be required by the NJ WIC Program.
and/or
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Public Health with a major in Nutrition or possession of a Master's degree in Nutrition.
LICENSE: Applicants must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
