Job Description

  • The Test Technician is responsible for performing functional testing of electronic products and assemblies to ensure compliance with specification, quality standards and requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will troubleshoot assemblies to the component level, performing electrical and environmental testing, and contributing to failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • The Test Technician is analytical, detail‐oriented, and experienced with analog/digital circuitry in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.
  • Perform electrical, functional, and environmental testing on assemblies, subassemblies, and finished products
  • Troubleshoot electronic systems to the component level and identify root‐cause failures
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical procedures
  • Conduct testing on switching power supplies and high‐voltage products (>400VAC preferred)
  • Use standard lab equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, power analyzers, electronic loads, power supplies
  • Document test results, failures, repairs, and corrective actions accurately
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve technical issues and improve reliability
  • Support failure analysis, rework, and compliance verification activities

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology or equivalent technical training
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Test Technician or similar role in manufacturing
  • Experience with analog/digital circuits and switching power supplies
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic testing methods and industry‐standard equipment
  • Ability to follow documented test procedures and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance)
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, military, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and electronic assembly practices
  • Background in root‐cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality systems
