Brick Mason/ Richmond VA

Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Brick Masons for work in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in masonry work, including bricklaying, concrete forming, and related construction skills. This role involves working on commercial, and educational sites, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Brick Mason will collaborate with other trades and interpret blueprints to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing structures.

Duties

• Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to project specifications and blueprints
• Perform concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation for structural elements
• Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to execute masonry tasks efficiently
• Read schematics and blueprints to determine layout and material requirements
• Assist with renovation projects, including stucco application, plastering, and caulking
• Install metal stud framing, perform trim carpentry, and handle roofing or restoration tasks as needed
• Ensure proper placement of rebar for reinforced concrete structures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with project managers on construction estimating and planning activities

Requirements

• Proven experience in masonry work with a strong understanding of concrete finishing, tile laying, and hardscape construction
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and read schematics or blueprints effectively
• Experience working on construction sites with a focus on restoration or renovation projects
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights if necessary
