Key Responsibilities:
- Act as backup to the Shift Supervisor when needed.
- Train and support Line Operators, Machine Technicians, and temporary staff.
- Coordinate breaks, coverage, and daily workflow.
- Promote a safe, collaborative, and improvement-focused work environment.
- Operate and troubleshoot automated and semi-automated packaging lines, including robotics and labeling systems.
- Support manual and automated packaging and visual inspection activities.
- Assist with inventory handling, rework, and general production needs.
- Conduct line startup checks, in-process inspections, and basic lab testing.
- Document and report quality results, defects, and deviations.
- Support rework processes and review product specifications.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
- Participate in 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify defects and support corrective actions.
- Help improve quality tracking tools and production processes.
- Support additional operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; must be 18+.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on quality or production support.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and process issues.
- Basic math and measurement skills (calipers, gauges, visual inspection).
- Ability to read and follow written specifications and instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with tablets or digital systems preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
