Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as backup to the Shift Supervisor when needed.
  • Train and support Line Operators, Machine Technicians, and temporary staff.
  • Coordinate breaks, coverage, and daily workflow.
  • Promote a safe, collaborative, and improvement-focused work environment.
  • Operate and troubleshoot automated and semi-automated packaging lines, including robotics and labeling systems.
  • Support manual and automated packaging and visual inspection activities.
  • Assist with inventory handling, rework, and general production needs.
  • Conduct line startup checks, in-process inspections, and basic lab testing.
  • Document and report quality results, defects, and deviations.
  • Support rework processes and review product specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Participate in 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify defects and support corrective actions.
  • Help improve quality tracking tools and production processes.
  • Support additional operational needs as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; must be 18+.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on quality or production support.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and process issues.
  • Basic math and measurement skills (calipers, gauges, visual inspection).
  • Ability to read and follow written specifications and instructions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with tablets or digital systems preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
