The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for servicing and maintaining diesel-powered equipment such as service trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and construction equipment. This role requires hands-on expertise in engine repair and system diagnostics, with an emphasis on safety and preventive maintenance. The mechanic will work standard hours, occasionally traveling for training to stay updated with evolving technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine repairs and system diagnostics on diesel equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Maintain hydraulic and electrical systems
- Replace parts and conduct welding as needed
- Perform safety inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Keep accurate service and repair records
- Interact professionally with customers regarding equipment status and repairs
