Seeking a motivated and innovative HR Director for a Manufacturing company in San Antonio, Texas. This is a brand-new, full-time, W-2 HR Director role — you will help build and define it from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Director will lead a team of three direct reports and provide strategic and operational HR leadership across four U.S.-based manufacturing sites. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on HR leader who wants to shape the function, influence company strategy at the executive level, and build lasting infrastructure in a growing organization with a strong culture and great benefits.


Key Responsibilities

%CF; Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team on all people-related matters

%CF; Build and lead the HR function from the ground up, including policies, programs, and infrastructure across four manufacturing sites

%CF; Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three HR direct reports

%CF; Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning across all sites

%CF; Design and manage compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs to attract and retain top talent

%CF; Drive employee relations, performance management, and engagement initiatives across a multi-site manufacturing workforce

%CF; Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions

%CF; Partner with site and operations leaders to align HR strategy with production and business goals

%CF; Develop and implement training, leadership development, and succession planning programs

%CF; Lead HR policy development and ensure consistent application across all locations

%CF; Champion a strong, positive company culture that supports safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

%CF; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) a plus

%CF; Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or industrial operations

%CF; Proven experience building or scaling an HR function, ideally in a growing organization

%CF; Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices across multiple states

%CF; Experience supporting a workforce in the manufacturing or commercial construction industry preferred; Comfortable walking the plant floor and speaking with employees

%CF; Demonstrated success leading talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards programs, and M&A

%CF; Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level

%CF; Experience with a UKG and ability to speak conversational Spanish is a plus

%CF; Ability to travel to manufacturing sites as needed (10% overnight travel)

Location

This position must be based in San Antonio, TX. This is an onsite role; remote or hybrid work is not available.
