Infant/Toddler Teacher

The Daycare Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. The role involves planning and implementing daily educational activities that foster the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child in a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Design age-appropriate activities and curricula that encourage curiosity and a love of learning.
• Supervise and Ensure Safety: Monitor children at all times to ensure a safe environment, following all health and safety regulations.
• Encourage Social Skills: Guide children in developing social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and respect through structured play and group activities.
• Communicate with Parents and Staff: Regularly update parents on their child’s progress, addressing any concerns with compassion and professionalism. Collaborate with other teachers and the daycare team to ensure continuity in each child’s development.
• Maintain Clean and Organized Classroom: Ensure that the classroom is clean, organized, and equipped with the materials necessary for daily activities.
• Observe and Document Child Development: Track each child’s growth and milestones, documenting any areas for improvement, and creating progress reports for parents.

Qualifications

• Education: [Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; certification requirements based on state regulations.]
• Experience: Previous experience in a daycare or early childhood educational setting is preferred.
