Job Description
Daily Schedule/Shift Onsite – no remote
1st shift: 6AM – 3:30PM
2nd shift: 3:30PM – 12:30AM
Currently a 1 shift operation and will be moving to 2 shifts in October 2027. This person must be open to working either 1st or 2nd shift once they become a two shift operation
Responsible for monitoring and enforcing the quality standards of an assigned area. Communication of department and plant quality metrics.
Escalation of issues to all levels of management following escalation guidelines.
Implement and follow systems that prevent re-occurrence of known issues through problem solving process. Leverage resources to solve quality issues.
Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management. Understands and consistently administer the National and Local Agreements between client and the United Auto Workers Union.
Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping.
Motivate, train and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods. Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training).
Able to make decisions independently with limited supervision
Knowledge of basic technology and standards of area supervised
Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
Well developed oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of scheduling, manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and other management systems
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output
Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
Knowledge of client Manufacturing System
College degree preferred
High School graduate or equivalent experience required
Education – High School Diploma required, College degree preferred
Years of experience – at least 8 years of experience
Looking for a candidate with a production background instead of a quality background. Someone with a production background matches better typically with what they are looking for, if they have both this is great but not required
Learning databases, programs, UKG to do pay, GPIX, excel, etc
Soft skills – good communication, good people skills, manage people effectively
