Global Human Resources Manager
Job Description
Are You Ready to Scale a Cross-Border HR Engine from the Shop Floor Up?
At Sentrimax Centrifuges, we don’t run HR from an ivory tower. We build high-performance industrial centrifuges, remanufacture critical equipment, and support dedicated field service teams across the U.S. and Canada.
We are looking for a hands-on, high-ownership Global HR Manager based on-site at our flagship location in Mansfield, TX. This isn’t a passive policy-policing job—it is a high-visibility operational partnership. You will roll up your sleeves, walk the shop floor, partner with executive leadership, and drive end-to-end HR excellence across our multi-site U.S. and Canadian footprint (~60 employees).
If you thrive in lean, fast-growing environments, command respect from shop-floor technicians to C-suite executives, and possess the trajectory to rapidly expand your scope into a senior leadership role, Sentrimax is your launchpad.
Why This Role is Different
- Direct Growth Runway: Designed specifically for a rising HR leader who wants to earn a broader, senior executive seat as our business scales.
- True Operational Impact: You won't be trapped behind a desk—you will actively bridge the gap between business strategy, field operations, safety culture, and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
- Cross-Border Mastery: Take full ownership of workforce operations across both the U.S. and Canada (Alberta and Ontario).
What You Will Own
1. Operational HR & Workforce Execution
- Serve as the primary, visible on-site HR leader for employees and managers in Mansfield, delivering trusted day-to-day counsel on policies, development, and team dynamics.
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle: high-touch onboarding (shop, field, and office), internal mobility, offboarding, and standardizing workflows across all sites.
- Cultivate a unified, safe, and engaging culture across geographically dispersed field technicians, shop mechanics, and office staff.
2. Cross-Border Compliance & Legal Governance
- Act as the company subject matter expert on U.S. federal/state laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO) and Canadian provincial employment standards (hours of work, overtime, statutory leaves, and terminations in Alberta and Ontario).
- Maintain bulletproof compliance, audit readiness, employee handbooks, and standardized HR documentation.
3. HRIS, Payroll & Workforce Analytics
- Master Paylocity as our system of record—ensuring flawless employee data entry, status changes, time/attendance validation, and pre-processing payroll audit support alongside Finance.
- Build actionable HR dashboards and reports (headcount, retention, turnover, compliance, and labor metrics) to drive data-backed business decisions.
4. Talent Acquisition & Performance Coaching
- Partner with hiring managers to recruit, screen, and select top-tier shop, field service, and professional talent.
- Coach managers on performance management, constructive feedback, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution grounded in company values.
- Handle employee relations investigations with high discretion, fairness, and business acumen.
The Mindset & Qualifications We Look For
The Mindset:
- Owner’s Mindset: You treat company processes and talent outcomes as your personal responsibility. You don't just point out problems; you build the fix.
- Shop-Floor Approachability: You are as comfortable discussing career paths with a shop technician in work boots as you are delivering a compliance update to executive leadership.
- Process Discipline: You bring structure to ambiguity, ensuring process integrity and operational consistency across every location.
Required Experience:
- 7+ years of progressive, hands-on generalist HR experience within an industrial, manufacturing, oilfield services, construction, or heavy equipment environment.
- Demonstrated U.S. and Canadian HR experience: Direct familiarity with U.S. employment laws AND Canadian provincial labor standards (Alberta/Ontario).
- Paylocity Expertise: Practical, hands-on mastery using Paylocity (or similar HRIS/payroll platforms) for data management, reporting, and onboarding workflows.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or equivalent practical HR experience.
- On-Site Presence: Willingness to work on-site in Mansfield, TX daily, with periodic travel to company sites across the U.S. and Canada.
Preferred Experience:
- HR experience within a private equity-backed, small-to-midsize growing company where HR is lean and agile.
- Professional HR Designations: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or Canadian CPHR/CHRL.
- Direct experience partnering with Safety/EHS teams on workers' compensation, return-to-work, and safety culture initiatives.
