Janitorial Lead

Job Summary: Responsible for organizing floor care schedules, assigning various tasks, completing site audits, managing inventories, ordering supplies if necessary, and to ensure work is completed on a nightly basis. Assists PSI operations at the specific site and will need to work closely with the janitorial supervisor and employees on any janitorial issues.

Essential Functions:

• Training of janitorial workers using proper methods and procedures and to ensure proper operation of equipment and detailed cleaning
• Must have strong communication skills in directing staff if necessary
• Must be strong leader
• Must possess strong organizational skills and pay attention to details
• Must be flexible in work schedule
• Must be able to perform all general cleaning duties as needed to fill in for absent employees or to assist with completion of work assigned
• Must be safety conscious
• Basic computer knowledge (email, word, excel) a plus

Education/Experience:

• Must have strong communication and organizational skills and demonstrates such
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• 2 years cleaning experience
• 2 years managing personnel is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to run floor scrubber
• Ability to run all types of vacuums & general maintenance of the equipment
• Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 hours
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs
