J & Z Garage in Elk Grove Village, IL is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and conduct vehicle write-ups, documenting concerns and service history
- Communicate repair recommendations and estimates clearly to customers
- Coordinate workflow between customers and service technicians
- Follow up with customers on vehicle status, approvals, and completion timelines
- Upsell and recommend additional services based on vehicle inspections and manufacturer guidelines
- Process repair orders, invoices, and payments accurately
- Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance services
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy shop environment
- Experience with shop management software (Tekmetric, Shopware, etc) a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality service
