Duties

• Provide a wide range of hair services including cuts, styling, coloring, and hair extensions to meet each client’s unique needs.
• Perform specialized treatments such as hair threading, makeup application, and nail care to enhance overall client experience.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
• Utilize salon management software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client information, and process transactions efficiently.
• Engage with clients through active communication to understand their preferences and recommend suitable hair care products or services for upselling opportunities.
• Stay current with industry trends in hair styling, coloring techniques based on color theory, and barbering skills such as straight razor shaves.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in customer service, hair care techniques, and salon operations to foster a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state law; additional certifications in hair coloring or makeup are a plus.
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, and customer service.
• Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and store management.
• Proficiency in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their beauty goals.
• Familiarity with advanced techniques such as hair threading, hair extensions application, and use of straight razors.
• Ability to upsell products confidently while providing expert advice on hair care routines and treatments.
