Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 base + bonus + vehicle allowance

AGF Talent is conducting a search on behalf of a well-established client with deep roots in the oil and gas industry. Our client is looking for an experienced, hands-on Director of Operations to oversee day-to-day field operations out of Hobbs, NM, and drive performance, safety, and service quality across the company spending significant time on site with operators throughout the Permian Basin.

This is a leadership role for someone who's just as comfortable on the shop floor and out on location as they are in a planning meeting, someone who leads by example, holds a high bar for safety and quality, and knows how to build a team that customers trust.

What You'll Be Doing

• Overseeing daily company operations throughout the Permian Basin and beyond, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
• Spending significant time out in the field across the Permian Basin, staying close to jobsites and visible to crews and customers alike
• Leading, developing, and holding accountable a team of field service technicians and operations staff
• Partnering closely with customers and operators to maintain strong relationships and ensure service expectations are met and exceeded
• Managing equipment, scheduling, and resource allocation to keep operations running smoothly
• Driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost management across the district
• Collaborating with sales and business development to support growth across the region

• A strong track record of building and leading high-performing field teams
• Deep commitment to safety and operational excellence
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and with customers
• Comfort moving between the field and the office, staying close to the work
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
