Job Description

Picture This

You start your morning with coffee in the café, catching up with a member who just told two neighbors about their new swim routine. By mid-morning you're on the phone with a local youth sports league about a sponsorship for our next racquetball tournament. After lunch you're walking a family through the pool deck, watching their daughter's face light up at her first swim lesson. Later, you're finalizing details for a birthday party booking in our event space, then heading out to drop off materials at a nearby business.
Every day looks a little different, but it always comes back to the same thing: people. You love connecting with them, and you're good at turning that connection into real results, more members, more community partners, more of Lombard discovering what Glass Court has become.

About Glass Court

Glass Court has been a fixture in Lombard for more than 40 years, home to championship-level racquetball and a full range of aquatics and fitness programming. We've just completed a full remodel and modernization of the facility, and we're not stopping there, we're continuing to invest and improve. Now we need someone to help the community rediscover us: 8 racquetball courts (the most in the region), indoor and outdoor heated pools, swim lessons, a full fitness center, a café and lounge, and an event space that's ready to host more parties and gatherings than it currently does.

The Role

This is a community-facing, relationship-first role. You'll be the face of Glass Court out in Lombard and neighboring cities, building the kind of personal connections that turn strangers into members, prospects into tournament sponsors, and empty weekends into booked events. You're comfortable picking up the phone, showing up in person, and following through, and you're just as comfortable logging it all in a CRM so nothing falls through the cracks.

What You'll Own

  • Community outreach and relationship-building with local businesses, schools, leagues, and organizations
  • Membership tours and conversations that turn visitors into members across swim, racquetball, and fitness
  • Sponsorship relationships for our racquetball tournaments and other club events
  • Booking and promoting our party and event space to grow an underused revenue stream
  • Referral generation from current members and community contacts
  • Accurate, consistent CRM documentation of calls, visits, tours, and outcomes

You're a Great Fit If

  • You genuinely love people, you're the one who makes friends in line at the grocery store
  • You've worked in membership sales, hospitality, event sales, fundraising/development, sponsorship sales, or community relations, or a similar relationship-driven, results-driven field
  • You have a background in fitness, aquatics, recreation, or youth programming (a strong plus, not a requirement)
  • You're organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a CRM, technology doesn't intimidate you, it helps you stay on top of things
  • You measure your own success by real conversations and real outcomes, not just activity for its own sake
  • You want to be part of a club that's actively growing and reinvesting in itself, and you want to help tell that story to the community

How to Apply

We want to get to know you before we ever meet in person. Please submit:
  • A link to your resume
  • Your LinkedIn profile
  • A short video (just from your phone is great) telling us why you'd be a great addition to the Glass Court team and why you'd excel in this role
