PROBATE LITIGATION PARALEGAL - TRUSTS & ESTATES

LOCATION
Dallas, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $80,000–$85,000 annually
• Full-time; workload may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week
• Annual performance-based bonus potential; overtime eligible as applicable under firm policy
ROLE IMPACT
Provide critical paralegal support to attorneys handling complex estate planning, trust administration, probate, and fiduciary litigation matters. Success in this role requires accurate legal drafting, disciplined case management, and timely coordination with clients, courts, beneficiaries, and financial institutions in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft wills, trusts, ancillary documents, probate petitions, pleadings, motions, accountings, discovery, and related legal documents.
- Support contested wills and trusts, probate litigation, discovery, deposition coordination, and trial preparation.
- Manage court filings, e-filing, deadlines, digital case files, client records, asset inventories, and probate documentation.
- Support estate and trust administration from initiation through final distribution.
- Coordinate hearings, court appearances, meetings, and communications with clients, beneficiaries, court staff, and financial institutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of trusts & estates and probate litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department.
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning documents, trust administration, probate court procedures, fiduciary disputes, and court filing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings, petitions, accountings, discovery, and other probate and estate-related legal documents while managing strict deadlines and confidential matters.

• Probate and state court e-filing platforms
• Legal research and case management systems
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
• Strong legal research, writing, organization, case tracking, and client communication skills
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, adapt to new legal systems, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal support teams
