American Eagle Packaging is a packaging distribution company looking for a dependable CDL Class A Local Driver to join our team at our Zion, IL location.


This is a full-time, local driving position making deliveries primarily throughout the Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin area, with additional deliveries throughout Chicagoland as needed. Our drivers are home daily.


We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in making accurate and on-time deliveries.


Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer on local delivery routes
  • Make customer deliveries safely, accurately, and on time
  • Work independently to manage your daily route and deliveries
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Load and unload freight when necessary, including using a forklift
  • Verify delivery paperwork and freight for accuracy
  • Communicate with warehouse and operations personnel regarding deliveries, delays, or issues
  • Maintain accurate driving and delivery records
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A
  • Clean and safe driving record
  • Previous commercial driving and local delivery experience
  • Strong backing and maneuvering skills
  • Comfortable backing into docks and navigating customer facilities
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Forklift experience preferred

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Potential opportunities for overtime
  • Local routes
  • Home daily
  • Based out of Zion, IL
