Job Overview:

Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Payroll and Recruiting Coordinator on behalf of our client, a leading supplier of steel elements.

The Contract Payroll and Recruiting Coordinator will provide critical support to the Human Resources team by managing payroll processes, assisting with recruitment efforts, and coordinating onboarding activities. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can accurately process payroll while supporting talent acquisition initiatives for skilled manufacturing and industrial positions. The ideal candidate has strong payroll experience, exceptional organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable wage and hour regulations.
  • Utilize UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) payroll and HR systems to process payroll transactions and maintain employee records.
  • Assist new hires with benefits enrollment and answer basic benefits-related questions.
  • Support recruitment efforts by sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Partner with staffing agencies and external recruiting partners to support hiring initiatives.
  • Manage candidate records and communications within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist with onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork and orientation.
  • Prepare employment documentation and maintain accurate employee files.
  • Respond to employee payroll and onboarding inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support HR reporting, recordkeeping, and administrative projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with HR, operations, and hiring managers to ensure an efficient hiring and onboarding experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll data.


Requirements include:

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll administration experience required.
  • Experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) payroll software is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting recruiting and talent acquisition processes.
  • Experience recruiting for industrial, manufacturing, construction, skilled trades, welding, machine operator, or similar positions is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating employee onboarding and benefits enrollment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.


Skills:

  • Payroll processing and administration.

Certifications:

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification is preferred but not required.
