This role is a one-year assignment based outside the continental United States (OCONUS). Flexibility is essential — posted shift times reflect general hours, and some projects require earlier or later reporting depending on customer requirements.
Job Description
Triton Solutions International is seeking Construction Surveillance Technicians (CST) to support Department of State construction programs. CSTs observe construction activity and the material installed in and around secure areas. They inspect material destined for those areas and manage the workers operating in and adjacent to them.
Key Duties
- Control access to the construction site.
- Screen and escort personnel to and within the construction site as required. For safety and security reasons, only individuals listed on the Site Access List may enter the job site unescorted. The Site Access List is provided by the Site Security Manager (SSM).
- Screen and escort all material and tools to and within the construction site.
- Maintain accountability for construction material moving to and within the site.
- Control the Secure Storage Area (SSA) and all material held within it.
- Observe construction workers as they carry out their assigned tasks.
- Verify that all equipment, materials, and furnishings intended for specified areas are x-rayed and examined.
- Support the SSM in conducting Random Selection and Random Procurement of materials required for construction and installation in, or contiguous to, controlled areas.
- Inspect all persons, packages, bags, boxes, crates, tools, and vehicles before they enter the construction site.
- Produce daily logs covering all related activity and events.
- Report all security-related incidents to the SSM in incident report format.
- Report all anomalies and incidents of a counterintelligence nature directly to the SSM.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in one of the following areas:
- Construction security surveillance
- Technical surveillance countermeasures
- Industrial or government security involving counterintelligence
- Construction quality assurance
- Ability to analyze designs and blueprints and recognize the architect's intended use.
- Ability to walk up and down eight (8) floors of stairs repeatedly throughout the workday. Elevators may not be available in all construction areas.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to meet applicable medical and physical fitness requirements and deploy to remote locations for up to one year with all necessary medications.
- Active passport.
