Dental Assistant – Abercorn Dental
Abercorn Dental is seeking a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team in Savannah, Georgia.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and providers, stays organized in a fast-paced clinical environment, and takes pride in helping the dental team deliver an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before patient appointments
- Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Take and process dental radiographs as permitted by applicable regulations
- Support infection-control, sterilization, and operatory turnover procedures
- Maintain organized clinical areas and ensure supplies are properly stocked
- Record clinical information and assist with accurate patient documentation
- Provide patients with post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, hygienists, front-office team members, and other clinical staff
- Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and office safety standards
- Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
- Dental assisting education or certification is a plus
- Experience taking dental X-rays is preferred where applicable
- Strong communication and patient-service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
- Comfortable working in a busy, team-oriented dental environment
- Dependable, professional, and willing to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively with both patients and team members
- Understanding of infection-control and patient-confidentiality requirements
