Electrical Assembler
Job Description
The Prototype Assembler is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical assembly of RA Engineered-To-Order (ETO) cabinet systems. This role requires interpreting electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications (both RA and customer-provided) and translating them into finished physical products. Core responsibilities include wiring, wire preparation, component installation, labeling, and cabinet modification.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret drawings, schematics, work orders, and specifications (RA and customer)
Perform mechanical assembly of components including mechanical cutouts on panels and cabinets
Ability to work with no supervision or assistance to complete moderately difficult projects
Execute low-voltage, power, and signal wiring tasks
Select appropriate wiring, components, and securing methods
Strip, crimp, terminate, and secure wiring
Apply wire, component, and cabinet labeling
Maintain consistency and quality across multiple builds while mentoring team members
Perform basic functions in SharePoint (MIR/OCN Correspondence, MTS).
Ability to lead projects and communicate with Tech Leads on project progress and needs
Participate in team meetings, positive, professional approach to work, willingness to help, and work or train in other areas.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of electrical panel assembly experience
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/blueprints
Experience with electrical cabinet assembly
Proficient with tools (drills, crimpers, torque wrenches, tape measures, etc.)
Ability to visualize and build from technical documentation
Capable of selecting components, determining placement, and executing assembly
Strong attention to detail, organization, and basic math skills
Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work standing/kneeling for extended periods
Experience in ETO manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in a manufacturing environment
High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
