Lead Electrician

The Lead Electrician plays a crucial role in overseeing electrical projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings primarily in Decatur, IL and nearby areas. This position balances hands-on electrical work with supervisory responsibilities, guiding a small team of 1 to 3 electricians to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with relevant codes. The Lead Electrician takes charge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and project planning while fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
• Supervise and lead a small team of electricians (1-3 members)
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and electrical codes
• Plan and coordinate project activities and timelines
• Train team members to enhance skills and maintain quality standards
• Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee workmanship excellence
• Travel to job sites primarily within Decatur, IL and surrounding areas
