Topre America is seeking an experienced Die Maintenance Team Leader to join our Tool Room team in Springfield, Ohio.

The Die Maintenance Team Leader provides daily direction to Tool Room associates, prioritizes repair work, supports production needs, and ensures tooling repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

What You'll Do
As the Die Maintenance Team Leader, you will provide hands-on technical leadership within the Tool Room while helping ensure production tooling is maintained and repaired efficiently.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and mentor Tool Room associates.
- Assign and prioritize daily Tool Room activities.
- Monitor repair priorities and ensure critical tooling repairs are completed on schedule.
- Make decisions regarding tooling condition, repair methods, and production readiness.
- Communicate repair priorities, tooling conditions, and important information between shifts.
- Monitor tooling repair progress and support production schedules.
- Assist with training and development of Tool Room personnel.
- Promote a positive work environment focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tooling repairs and maintenance history.
- Help identify future tooling maintenance and repair needs.
Technical Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain progressive and transfer stamping dies.
- Diagnose tooling problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform TIG welding and tool steel repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tooling.
- Operate Tool Room equipment, including:
- Manual Mills
- Surface Grinders
- Lathes
- Hand Grinding Equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Troubleshoot tooling and manufacturing issues to minimize production downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Tool Room.
- Operate overhead cranes and perform rigging tasks when required.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1.5 years of Tool Room Die Maintenance experience.
- Ability to lead and direct associates effectively.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Stable work history and strong attendance.
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to work overtime and additional hours as needed.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices.
Education & Experience
Option 1:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Tool & Die Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Tool & Die experience.
OR
Option 2:
- Minimum of 5 years of documented Die Maintenance experience in a metal stamping environment.

Candidates will complete:
- Written Die Maintenance Assessment
- Hands-On Skills Evaluation for candidates who successfully complete the written assessment
- Interview Process
Qualified employees may also have opportunities to test for advancement to higher pay levels.
