E-Commerce Operations Coordinator
Job Description
About the Role
We just rebuilt our entire business.
After 25 years running on legacy systems, we migrated our e-commerce to Shopify Plus, our inventory to a modern cloud platform, and relaunched our email marketing in Klaviyo — all in the last few months. The infrastructure is in place. Now we need someone to help us actually use it.
That's where you come in.
Acu-Market is a family-owned wholesale distributor in Riviera Beach that has supplied healthcare practitioners across the country for 25 years. Our customers are professionals who order from us every month, year after year — some for decades. We're not a startup and we're not a corporate giant. We're a stable, profitable business in an exciting rebuild phase, and we're looking for one smart, versatile person to help us grow the next chapter.
Who We're Looking For
You're a generalist who thrives on variety and ownership. You get excited by a job where you can touch Shopify in the morning, build a Klaviyo campaign in the afternoon, talk to a customer about a reorder, and close out the day planning the booth layout for next month's trade show.
You're the person who, at every job you've had, quietly became the one people went to because you could figure anything out. You learn platforms fast. You care about the customer on the other end of the email. You'd rather own outcomes in a small business than be a cog in a big one.
And — this part matters to us — you're genuinely excited about AI as a tool that changes how work gets done. You don't just type prompts into ChatGPT occasionally. You're the person who actually integrates AI into your workflow, who's curious about what's possible, and who sees tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Claude Code as force multipliers for a small team. We use AI heavily here and we're looking for a teammate who's bought in, not someone who treats it as a gimmick.
You're not looking for a title. You're looking for a role where what you actually do matters.
What You'll Actually Do
You'll lead the digital side of our business across four areas, and the mix will evolve as you grow into the role:
Run our e-commerce. Shopify Plus is your daily home — product listings, merchandising, customer accounts, site health. If something's broken, you fix it. If something can be better, you improve it.
Drive our marketing. Klaviyo is your second home. You'll plan and execute email campaigns, build automated flows, segment customers, write copy, and work with our designer on the visuals. You'll have real input on our promotional calendar.
Grow customer relationships. Our customers are professional practitioners who've bought from us for years. You'll handle inbound inquiries, onboard new accounts, solve service issues, and find opportunities to reactivate lapsed customers and grow existing ones. You'll get on the phone. You'll travel to 3-5 industry trade shows a year (some weekends) and meet customers face-to-face.
Help us get sharper with AI. This is a rebuild phase and we lean hard on AI to punch above our weight. You'll use Claude and ChatGPT daily. Over time, you'll grow into using Claude Code to build and maintain internal tools alongside leadership — a skill we'll coach and support. If you love the idea of being at the edge of how AI reshapes small-business operations, you'll be in the right seat.
Why This Role Is Worth Your Time
Real visibility. You'll work directly with the COO. No middle layers. What you do is seen, credited, and compensated.
Real variety. If you're bored doing the same thing every day, this is the role. If you need a rigid job description, it isn't.
Real learning. You'll get deep hands-on experience across Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, B2B sales, and modern AI tooling including Claude Code. Two years here will make you more valuable than five years in a narrower seat.
Real stability. We've been in business for 25 years and we're not going anywhere. You won't wake up to a layoff email.
Real trade-offs. This is a small business. You'll wear a lot of hats. Some weeks you'll love the variety; some weeks you'll wish you could just do one thing. We're honest about that because it's not for everyone — and we'd rather you know going in.
What You Bring
- 2-5 years in some combination of e-commerce, digital marketing, B2B sales, or customer success
- Hands-on Shopify experience (Plus is a bonus, not required)
- Hands-on email marketing experience — Klaviyo ideal, Mailchimp or similar is fine
- Active use of AI tools in your current workflow — we'll ask you about this
- Comfort picking up new platforms quickly
- Professional presence — on the phone, on email, and at industry events
- Willingness to travel for 3-5 trade shows per year, including some weekends
- A bias toward ownership over permission
Bonus Points For
- B2B or wholesale experience
- Regulated industry background (medical, supplements, pharma)
- Familiarity with Cin7, NetSuite, or similar inventory platforms
- Design chops (Photoshop, Canva, Figma)
- Any experience with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar agentic AI tools — even personal projects count
- A portfolio of email campaigns, Shopify work, or AI-assisted work you can show us
How to Apply
In your application message, tell us three things:
- Which part of this role excites you most, and why
- One thing you've built, fixed, or grown that you're proud of
- How you actually use AI in your work today — be specific
We read every application personally. The person who lands this role will hear from us within two weeks.
