Welder

Houston, Texas: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Welder – Plate/Pipe Welding, X-Ray Quality, paying $24.00–$28.00 per hour based on experience and skills. The schedule is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and is subject to change based on work demands.

Essential Duties

• Perform plate welding according to job specifications.

• Run and weld pipe work and work independently once qualified.

• Produce x-ray quality welds with strong attention to weld appearance, fit-up, preparation, and process control.

• Read and follow welding procedures and specifications.

• Demonstrate strong workmanship and consistency while meeting client quality standards.

• Work safely and follow all shop and site procedures.

• Communicate effectively with leads, supervisors, and other trade partners.

• Maintain reliable attendance and self-motivation to complete assigned tasks.

Requirements/Skills

• Must pass a weld skill test.

• Experience with plate and pipe welding.

• Ability to produce x-ray quality welds.

• Ability to read and follow welding procedures and specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently once qualified.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.

• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.

• Must successfully complete background screening and any required site compliance screenings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.

• Ability to safely handle welding equipment, tools, and materials.

• Ability to work safely in an industrial/shop environment.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures.
