Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: South Chesterfield, VA

Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Client Overview

You would be joining a manufacturing and warehouse operation that produces refrigeration and display equipment used by grocery and retail stores across the country. The facility handles high volumes of outbound shipments every day, so the traffic and logistics team plays a key role in keeping products moving on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Log, route, and track outbound orders from start to finish
• Determine the best shipping method based on routes, procedures, and rates
• Obtain freight charges and prepare shipping paperwork for billing
• Record shipment details such as weight, charges, and any damages or discrepancies
• Contact carriers to arrange shipping and delivery
• Work with vendors and carriers to resolve issues like damages or shortages
• Calculate shipping, storage, and space costs as needed

What We Need From You

• High school diploma or GED, or two or more years of related experience
• Strong data entry accuracy and basic math skills
• Comfortable using standard office software and systems
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred/Bonus

• Prior experience in a shipping, receiving, or traffic department
• Experience working directly with freight carriers or logistics vendors
