Duties
- Develop comprehensive, customized cooking curricula that cater to various skill levels and age groups, including children, teens, and adults
- Conduct engaging in-home cooking lessons that emphasize safety, proper technique, and nutritional awareness
- Manage classroom dynamics with effective behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and productive learning environment
- Incorporate creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience
- Utilize lesson planning skills to prepare materials and demonstrations that align with individual goals and dietary needs
- Provide guidance on culinary techniques, kitchen safety, and food presentation to foster culinary confidence
- Document progress and provide constructive feedback to participants to support ongoing development
Experience
- Proven experience developing curricula for cooking or related arts such as baking or culinary arts
- Strong background in teaching or tutoring across various age groups, including early childhood education or preschool experience
- Classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse learners and maintain a positive environment
- Experience working with children and understanding childhood development principles
- Familiarity with special education strategies and behavior management techniques for learners with unique needs
