Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate In-Home Culinary Instructor to inspire and empower neurodivergent learners of all ages, including those with developmental disabilities, to build confidence, independence, and culinary skills in the comfort of their own homes. Your expertise will help participants build confidence and independence through practical culinary education, making a meaningful impact on their daily lives.

Duties

• Develop comprehensive, customized cooking curricula that cater to various skill levels and age groups, including children, teens, and adults
• Conduct engaging in-home cooking lessons that emphasize safety, proper technique, and nutritional awareness
• Manage classroom dynamics with effective behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and productive learning environment
• Incorporate creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience
• Utilize lesson planning skills to prepare materials and demonstrations that align with individual goals and dietary needs
• Provide guidance on culinary techniques, kitchen safety, and food presentation to foster culinary confidence
• Document progress and provide constructive feedback to participants to support ongoing development

Experience

• Proven experience developing curricula for cooking or related arts such as baking or culinary arts
• Strong background in teaching or tutoring across various age groups, including early childhood education or preschool experience
• Classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse learners and maintain a positive environment
• Experience working with children and understanding childhood development principles
• Familiarity with special education strategies and behavior management techniques for learners with unique needs
