Associate Attorney - Labor & Employment

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to support a range of labor and employment law matters. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with the ability to provide practical legal guidance to clients and work collaboratively with senior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyse statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal issues.
• Draft and review motions, briefs, contracts, settlement agreements, and client correspondence.
• Assist with labour and employment law matters and provide practical legal guidance.
• Prepare for negotiations, litigation, and administrative proceedings.
• Support senior attorneys with case strategy and legal analysis.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Maintain organized case files and manage multiple deadlines.
• Stay current on applicable labour and employment laws and regulations.
• Assist with resolving disputes through negotiation and settlement discussions.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission, or eligibility for admission, to practice law in the relevant state.
• Strong foundation in general law and ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Experience or coursework in Labour & Employment Law.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.
• Strong attention to detail, professional ethics, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
