Accounts Payable Accountant

The Accounts Payable Accountant plays a vital role in managing the financial obligations of the company by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Reporting to the Controller, this position works within a medium to large team environment, utilizing accounting software like SAP or Oracle alongside manual processing methods to maintain financial accuracy. The role also involves occasional interactions with vendors to support vendor management and resolve payment issues.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and ensure timely payment processing
• Manage vendor accounts and maintain positive vendor relationships
• Track expenses and reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Enter data accurately into accounting systems
• Support month-end closing activities with account reconciliations

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in accounts payable
• Relevant accounting certification
• Knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
