Forklift Operators (BR35)

Forklift Operators play a crucial role in managing warehouse material flow by operating various forklift equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, sit-down forklifts, and EPJs. Working primarily in a logistics warehouse, these operators follow safety protocols while loading, unloading, and transporting materials. The role typically involves day, night, or weekend shifts, with opportunities for cross-training in other warehouse functions to enhance versatility and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks, order pickers, sit-down forklifts, and EPJs safely and efficiently
• Load and unload materials to and from trucks and storage areas
• Handle inventory accurately and maintain warehouse organization
• Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and conduct routine equipment inspections
• Transport materials within the warehouse promptly and safely
• Participate in cross-training to support multiple warehouse functions

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in forklift operation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of forklift operation, warehouse safety, and inventory management
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Physical stamina and ability to work various shifts including weekends
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and material handling
• Basic computer skills
