Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide our mechanical design team and oversee the development and production of high-precision hardware. In this hands-on leadership role, you will bridge the gap between product development, manufacturing, and client needs. You will be responsible for allocating resources, managing projects, and ensuring all technical solutions meet strict quality, cost, and schedule expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and evaluate a team of mechanical engineers, setting clear priorities and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Technical Oversight: Manage the full product lifecycle from initial concept and prototyping through to final production.
• Design & Documentation: Review and approve engineering blueprints, design specifications, and technical calculations, ensuring adherence to internal and industry standards.
• Manufacturing Support: Partner with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and cost-effectiveness.
• Client Collaboration: Act as the primary technical liaison for customers, guiding design suggestions, resolving application questions, and ensuring product requirements are fully met.
• Project Management: Monitor project statuses, balance competing production priorities, and communicate risks and resource needs to upper management.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Experience: 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, ideally within a precision manufacturing environment.
• Leadership: 3+ years of direct supervisory experience, with a proven track record of developing engineering personnel.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in complex mechanical design, material selection, advanced tolerancing, and engineering analysis. Strong proficiency with industry-standard 3D CAD software.
• Industry Background: Previous experience working in highly regulated, strict-compliance manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
