Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and manufacturing operations. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials while maintaining accurate inventory and a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Move raw materials, finished products, pallets, and other materials throughout the facility.
• Properly stage and organize materials in designated locations.
• Verify product quantities, labels, and shipment information.
• Assist with receiving, shipping, and material-handling activities.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and production teams.
• Meet productivity and accuracy expectations while maintaining safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
• Current forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or other forklift equipment.
• Ability to read labels, work orders, and basic shipping/receiving documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required.
• Ability to safely operate equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse or manufacturing conditions.

Preferred Skills

• Shipping and receiving experience
• Inventory control
• RF scanner experience
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Palletizing and material staging
• Warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Manufacturing or distribution experience
• Experience operating multiple types of forklifts

Safety Expectations

• Follow all facility safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
• Complete required equipment inspections before operating a forklift.
• Maintain safe speeds and proper clearance when transporting materials.
• Use appropriate PPE at all times.
• Immediately report damaged equipment, spills, product damage, or unsafe conditions.
