MRI Technician

The MRI Technician plays a critical role in conducting routine daily MRI scans, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. Working independently in the tech room and collaborating with front desk staff, the technician prepares patients, operates MRI equipment, and maintains communication with service providers to ensure optimal machine performance. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, patient care, and adherence to safety protocols.

EVERY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY 830-530

Responsibilities

• Perform routine daily MRI scans with accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare patients by explaining MRI protocols and assisting them to the changing room
• Position patients properly in the MRI machine to ensure quality imaging
• Provide a comfortable environment and encourage patients through the procedure
• Maintain and monitor MRI equipment, coordinating repairs with service companies
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and guidelines
• Monitor patients during scans for safety and comfort
• Collaborate effectively with front desk staff and other team members

Required Qualifications

• Certificate in MRI Technology
• ARRT MRI Certification
• Strong knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques
• Experience in patient care and communication
• Thorough understanding of safety protocols in MRI environments
• Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in MRI technology
