Assembly Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Assembly Operator will be responsible for assembling components according to work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components using hand and power tools.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and production specifications.
- Operate basic production and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Measure components using tape measures, calipers, gauges, or other precision tools.
- Identify defects, damage, or assembly issues and report them to the appropriate team member.
- Perform rework or adjustments as needed to meet production and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and basic drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
Preferred Skills
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Blueprint or schematic reading
- Experience with calipers, gauges, or other measuring tools
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Quality-control or inspection experience
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical components
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and moving materials.
- Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and production components.
- Ability to lift and carry materials as required by the position.
