Chemical Packager

JOB PURPOSE

Package chemicals into appropriate containers and prepare for shipping.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Safely handle chemicals by following detailed instructions for filtering, packaging and cleaning.

• Assists with batch manufacturing.

• Proper execution of manufacturing instructions for batch travelers.

• Follow detailed instructions for filtering and or packaging chemicals.

• Clean mix vessel and other equipment, using detergents, brushes, or scrapers and solvents.

• Able to operate within and follow established Company quality and safety standards.

• Move product inventory to and from appropriate areas.

• Work independently with minimum supervision.

• Other duties as assigned to support the efficiency of the manufacturing operation.

• Updates the packaging MPC and keeps packaging logs up to date.

• Works on quality initiatives such as 5’s and safety projects.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School education or GED.

• 1-3 years chemical handling experience.

• Ability to read and write English.

• Good communication skills.

• Computer skills a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• May require lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
