Job Summary:

Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking motivated Certified Nursing Aides (CNA) to join our nursing team. The CNA plays a crucial role in providing direct resident care, supporting daily living needs, assisting licensed nursing staff, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and resident-centered environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for CNA's who want to be part of a growing facility with a strong clinical focus, including care for residents with trachs, ventilators, and other respiratory needs.


There are Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN opportunities available.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct resident care in accordance with resident care plans, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meals, and repositioning.

  • Take and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other resident information as directed.

  • Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to licensed nursing staff.

  • Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, positioning, and use of appropriate equipment.

  • Support infection control, safety, fall prevention, and resident dignity throughout all care activities.

  • Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked resident rooms and care areas.

  • Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for care provided.

  • Communicate effectively with nurses, respiratory staff, therapy staff, residents, families, and other facility team members.

  • Support residents with trachs, ventilators, and higher-acuity needs within CNA scope of practice and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.

  • Promote a positive, accountable, resident-centered, and team-oriented culture.

Requirements:

  • Current Certified Nursing Aides (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas.

  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, rehabilitation, or sub-acute care setting preferred.

  • Experience working with trach, ventilator, or higher-acuity residents preferred, but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety.

  • Ability to complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff, therapy staff, respiratory staff, residents, and families.

Salary Range: $21-$24 hourly, based on experience
