Commercial / Industrial Electrical Foreman
Job Description
There's a difference between putting in hours and building something you can be proud of. Our crews have wired Coors Field, DIA, oil and gas facilities, industrial plants, and a long list of projects across the Front Range. We're hiring a foreman to run the next one.
Specialized Electric Company is a family-owned commercial and industrial electrical contractor in Golden, serving the Denver metro since 2002. We don't cut corners, and we don't micromanage. Our owner came up as a field electrician starting in 1988, so the standards here were set by somebody who had to meet them himself. He's not on the tools anymore, but he still knows the difference between finished and done.
What You'll Get:
- $42 to $50/hr depending on experience and qualifications
- Mostly days, Monday through Friday, 40-hour weeks (with flexibility asked for on special situations)
- Work is mostly in the Denver metro, with occasional projects up to 2 hours away
- edical insurance
- Dental and vision insurance plans
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid holidays, PTO, and profit sharing
- Bonus opportunities
- Company vehicle and credit card
- Paid professional development
- Employee discount and referral program
- Safety equipment provided
What You'll Be Doing:
- Running commercial and industrial projects from mobilization through closeout
- Building and leading a crew of journeymen and apprentices
- Training apprentices into journeymen and journeymen into leads
- Planning daily work and coordinating material with your project manager
- Making sure every install meets NEC, the drawings, and our standards
- Reviewing drawings, change orders, and submittals
- Keeping daily reports, timecards, and material tracking accurate (email, PDF markups, and construction apps are part of the job)
- Coordinating with GCs, other trades, and utility providers
- Running a clean, organized, safe site and leading by example on safety
Who We're Looking For:
You care what the job looks like when the covers go on. You'd rather teach an apprentice the right way once than fix it three times. You keep a clean, safe site, and your word holds.
Beyond that:
- Valid Colorado journeyman or master electrician license (required)
- 7 to 10 years in commercial or industrial electrical construction
- 3+ years running work as a foreman or lead
- Strong NEC knowledge and the ability to read and build from drawings
- OSHA 30 preferred
- High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school a plus)
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs and work indoors and out, including extreme temperatures
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and background screen (U/A)
- Authorized to work in the United States
How to Apply:
Apply below, and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
