Quality Engineer

In this role, you will drive quality actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in order to meet or exceed all regulatory and customer requirements. This role is supporting the forging and machining operations in Anniston, AL.Activities Include:Supporting PFMEA's and creating Control Plans for all product linesCreating/modifying inspection instructionsLiaising with government quality assurance representative to ensure conforming product is presented to governmentLead RCCA investigations Lead MRB teamsLead continuous improvement initiativesPerform quote and contract review to ensure customer quality requirements are captured and communicated to manufacturingMinimum Education and ExperienceCollege degree in engineering discipline5+ years experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environmentRequired Skills PFMEA/Control Plan experienceHighly effective communicatorComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in CNC machining GD&T proficiency Preferred SkillsExperience operating in an organization with government quality oversight;Experience with NDT (mag particle)Experience with Gage R&R studiesFamiliarity with FAR/DFAR requirements;Familiarity and working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards;Experience with Lean and process improvement tools/methods;Experience with Six Sigma and SPC techniquesExperience with programming in polyworks
