As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play an essential role in helping residents maintain comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life each day.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance

• Provide compassionate, respectful care while promoting resident dignity and independence

• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff

• Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents

• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members

• Encourage participation in recreational and social activities to enhance residents’ well-being

• Keep resident rooms, equipment, and common areas clean and organized

• Follow infection control procedures, safety guidelines, and facility policies at all times

• Accurately document care provided and resident observations

• Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident needs and concerns

• Collaborate with nursing staff and fellow caregivers to ensure exceptional resident care and satisfaction

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New York

• Previous long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Commitment to professionalism, safety, and resident dignity at all times
