When you join Visioneering, you're not just starting a new job- you're becoming part of a team that designs and builds precision tooling and manufacturing solutions that support some of the world's leading aerospace programs.Position: Tool BuilderSchedule: Day Shift (Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p) Night Shift (Monday- Friday 4p-3:45a) Summary of PositionUnder the supervision of the department supervisor, the Tool Builder is responsible for setting up and operating various machines and shop equipment. They must have stamina, the ability to lift heavy loads, be able to concentrate on performing tasks and commit to safety rules. Essential FunctionsDaily roles include collaborating in a team-oriented environment with cross functional workers. Able to follow blueprints, sketches, and specifications, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipmentReview engineering information, tool design drawings, and other specifications to determine methods and sequence of operations to fabricate toolsPrint BOM, and SOW readingsComplete tools are built with information provided from print, BOM, and SOWInstall dowelsOperate Bridgeport and surface grinderDeburring, painting prep, stenciling and ID of materialsOperation of a hi-low and overhead craneEnsure that all of the assigned activities are completed as scheduledMust be able to achieve quality and production goalsFollow and maintain all safety protocols and housekeeping requirementsAll other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and CompetenciesEffective oral and written communication Ability to work effectively in a team environmentSelf-motivated but able to take directionUnderstand and work to all QMS procedures and work instructionsAbility to read complex blueprintsIdentify and find specifications within blueprint givenGeometric tolerances (understand and recognize some symbols)Understanding of general tolerancesComprehend simple sections and viewsUnderstand reference systemUnderstanding of EnoviaMust have the ability to operate industrial trucks and overhead cranesTool builder or mold experience (aerospace or automotive)Must have own tools including; drill motors, grind tools (DA and 90 grinder) and toolboxQuality and safety mindsetStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction and work as a teamAbility to meet the physical demands of the job.
