G-Net Construction is hiring a full-time Lead Carpenter to support commercial interior renovation and facility maintenance projects across NYC. This is a hands-on field position for an experienced carpenter who can work independently, coordinate with supervisors, and help guide helpers or small field teams when needed.

This is not a full foreman position, but it does require field leadership, strong communication, and the ability to complete quality work in active job site conditions.


Responsibilities

  • Perform framing, drywall, doors, hardware, trim, and finish carpentry work
  • Install cement board, blocking, underlayment, and related materials
  • Support kitchen, bathroom, and commercial interior renovation work
  • Perform rough carpentry, patching, floor repair, and miscellaneous field work
  • Read basic drawings, layouts, and field instructions
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other trades
  • Help guide helpers or small field teams when needed
  • Keep tools, materials, and job sites clean and organized

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of carpentry field experience preferred
  • OSHA-40 required for NYC field work
  • Must be able to work on the books
  • Must have own carpentry hand tools and basic power tools
  • Must communicate clearly and follow direction from supervisors
  • Must work neatly and keep job sites organized
  • Must be able to work independently when assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Staten Island resident with a valid driver’s license is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Basic blueprint reading is a plus
  • Door, hardware, drywall, framing, and finish carpentry experience is a plus
  • Basic painting, compound, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC knowledge is a plus
  • Own vehicle or reliable transportation is a plus
