Snelling is hiring multiple CNC Machinist's for a well-established fabrication and machining company in the Calera, AL area. This company takes pride in delivering high-quality products and exceptional service on every project and is looking for skilled machinists who share that commitment to excellence.
Pay Range Levels:
- Junior CNC Machinist (1–2 years of experience) - $20–$23/hour
- Mid-Level CNC Machinist (3–5 years of experience) - $23–$26/hour
- Senior CNC Machinist (5+ years of experience) - $26–$30/hour
CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and complex drawings
- Set up castings and fabrications for machining
- Create and modify G-Code programs
- Operate CNC equipment and manual machines
- Perform CNC machining of complex, high-precision metal and plastic parts
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure parts meet specifications
- Demonstrate strong craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Maintain fluid levels and basic machine upkeep on assigned equipment
- CAM programming experience is a plus
Qualifications Required of CNC Machinists:
- Experience with CNC programming, including Fanuc (preferred), Fagor, and Miltronics controls
- Experience machining castings and fabrications
- Job shop or rapid prototyping experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8–10 hours per shift)
