Suma Home Care
North Wales, PA, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

Is this you?

You became a nurse to make a profound difference. You thrive in high-acuity environments where your clinical judgment is constantly engaged, but you crave something the hospital floor can't offer: The time actually to connect.

At Suma Home Care, we are looking for top-tier Pediatric Nurses who are ready to trade the chaos of the hospital for the calm of a child's bedroom—without sacrificing clinical complexity.

Why work with Suma Home Care?

The Best of Both Worlds.

We specialize in the most complex, technology-dependent pediatric cases in Pennsylvania. This isn't "babysitting"; this is intensive care, delivered in the place a child feels safest: home.

Here is what sets a career with Suma apart:

  • Work with Complex, Technology-Dependent Children
Our patients require the highest level of skill. If you have experience—or a burning desire to gain expertise—in Tracheostomy Care, Ventilator Management, and Seizure Disorders, this is your platform.

  • The Clinical Challenge: You will manage ventilators, monitor respiratory status minute-by-minute, administer precise medication doses via G-Tubes, and perform skilled wound care for post-surgical patients.

  • The Reward: You get to see a child blow out birthday candles, take their first steps post-injury, or smile because they are comfortable and safe. You are not just a nurse; you are the reason a family stays intact.

  • The "Suma Difference": Consistency & Collaboration

  • Build Real Relationships: We believe children thrive on routine. Unlike the hospital, where you rotate constantly, we strive to provide consistent, reliable nurse assignments. You become a trusted member of the family, not a stranger in scrubs.

  • Provide True Peace of Mind

For the parents of our patients, every second is filled with worry. When you walk through the door, you aren't just taking a shift. You are lifting a massive weight off a mother's or father's shoulders. You are allowing them to be a parent to their other children, run errands, or get a full night's sleep, knowing their medically fragile child is in expert hands.

Who You Will Care For

Our patients are children with incredible spirits facing significant challenges, including:

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Muscular Dystrophy

  • Traumatic Brain Injuries

  • Genetic Disorders

  • Complications of Prematurity

  • Administer G-tube feedings and monitor tolerance.

  • Technology Dependence (Ventilator/Tracheostomy)

  • Provide compassionate care while promoting the client's comfort, health, and quality of life.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Active RN or LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania.

  • Pediatric experience is highly preferred. (New Grads with a strong med/surg clinical rotation and a passion for peds are encouraged to apply! We provide extensive training.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

  • A desire to work independently and utilize your critical thinking skills.

  • A compassionate heart and a steady hand.

What We Offer (The Fine Print that Matters)

  • Competitive Pay & Daily/Weekly Paychecks: We value your expertise.

  • P.T.O

  • Flexible Scheduling: We work with you to create a schedule that fits your life.

  • One-on-One Patient Care: Focus on one patient, not a crowded floor.

  • 24/7 Clinical Support: You are never alone. Our leadership team is always a phone call away.

  • Paid Training & Orientation: We ensure you are fully confident with vents, trachs, and G-Tubes before you step into a patient's home.
