Residential Apprentice Electrician

Keywest Lights Inc. is seeking a Residential Apprentice Electrician to support the installation and maintenance of residential electrical systems in Seminole, FL.

Position Summary

The Residential Apprentice Electrician will assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn safe, code-compliant electrical work and build a long-term career in the trade.

You will work at job sites under supervision, perform assigned tasks, and help ensure each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with residential electrical installation tasks, including pulling wire, mounting devices, and preparing materials.

• Learn and follow electrical safety procedures and jobsite best practices while working with tools and equipment.

• Support troubleshooting by assisting with inspections, identifying wiring issues, and performing basic diagnostic tasks under supervision.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure materials and parts are properly handled and stored.

• Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time, communicating progress and needs to the lead electrician.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and learn electrical installation and safety procedures on the job.

• Willingness to work onsite in Seminole, FL with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

• Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals (e.g., circuits, wiring, and safe tool use) or demonstrated related experience.

• Physical ability to assist with hands-on electrical work, including lifting materials and working in tight spaces.

• Reliability, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience assisting in residential electrical work or a related trades environment.

• Familiarity with reading basic electrical diagrams, labels, and job instructions.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $22.00 - $28.00
