DEFINITION
The individual in this position provides personal care services to clients in the home setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to add consistent hours to your schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
- HHA certification or CNA license (required).
- CPR or BLS certification (required).
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes (required).
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of at least 75 hours of classroom and practical training with 16 hours of supervised practical training.
- Must demonstrate a satisfactory level of competency evidenced by evaluation.
- Adequate health status to perform described duties.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
- Must meet personnel qualifications.
- Provides direct and indirect personal care to the client in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist.
- Utilizes safety measures in the provision of care.
- Maintains effective communication with supervisor regarding client’s condition.
- Documents and submits accurate accounts of services provided.
- Observe the client for changes in condition and behavior and report to the supervisor.
- Maintains confidentiality of all client, agency, and employee matters.
- Adheres to all Agency policies.
- Recognize emergencies and demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Adheres to the role of the Home Health Aide in the home setting as defined in state regulation.
