A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LICENSED ELECTRICIANIn this seasonal electric position, you are a crucial part of our field team. Each day, you eagerly install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical components, including branch circuits, power distribution wiring, generators, lighting systems, and many more! Using your expertise, you competently perform scheduled preventative maintenance on existing electrical systems. You can always be counted on to diligently accomplish every task that comes your way.With avid attention to safety, you perform ongoing risk and hazard assessments while executing every job. You always execute a timely response when emergency service calls roll in, no matter the time of day. A confident leader, you occasionally direct the work of our helpers to make sure every task gets accomplished as well as keep your supervisor up to speed on job progress and requirements.A team player, you always attend safety meetings and morning pre-task stretching sessions. You also assist your team with all aspects of camp support, including cooking, equipment operation, digging, and camp construction. No matter how extreme the weather, you remain enthusiastic and ready to squash any problem that arises. The climate can be challenging, but you never back down! You thrive in such an exotic location as you put your hard-earned abilities in this crucial skilled trade to great use! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LICENSED ELECTRICIANHigh school diploma OR equivalentCurrent journeyman or master electrician license4+ years of documented experience in all phases of electrical work, including rough-in, trim-out, wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, conduit installation, and power distribution wiringExperience with generators, switchgears, breakers, and disconnectsValid driver's license and United States passportWillingness to work outside on various job sites in extreme cold weather conditionsExperience with remote and cold or polar environments would be beneficial. A certification on the "NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace" training courses is preferred. Experience with commercial and industrial facility construction as well as controls would be a plus. Can you remain tactful, courteous, and polite, no matter the circumstance? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A LICENSED ELECTRICIANThis seasonal skilled trade position works 9-hour days, 6 days per week and enjoys Sunday off. Additional hours will occasionally be needed.
