CNC Production Machinist -- Mills & Lathes

Picture your day: you arrive at our Sycamore shop, review the day’s work orders, load programs, and get your CNC mill or lathe humming. You verify tools, zero your work, and make that first part count. Throughout the shift, you keep an eye on quality, tweak offsets, and partner with teammates to keep production flowing. What you’ll handle

• Set up and run CNC equipment to produce precise components aligned with prints and job travelers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine operations and tooling.
• Monitor cycle performance and make on-the-fly adjustments to maintain tolerances and surface finish.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to keep machines reliable and accurate.
• Verify part conformance using calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools; document results.
• Collaborate with fellow machinists to refine processes and boost throughput.
• Keep your workstation organized and follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; a CNC machining certificate is a plus.
• Hands-on CNC operating experience; basic setup exposure is beneficial. Experience with mills and lathes required.
• Solid understanding of CNC machinery, particularly turning and milling fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret drawings, GD&T basics, and job documentation.
• Proficiency with measurement tools including calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communicator who works well within a team-oriented environment.

Location & Schedule

Role based in Sycamore, IL. First and second shifts available.
