Permits Specialist position in Naples, FL.
Below are the details of the role:
- Position: Permits Specialist
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends)
- Starting Pay: $18.24 per hour
Position Summary:
In this role, you will report directly to the Permits Manager and Supervisors, providing support to customers and walk-ins regarding county Code Compliance and Permit Regulations. You will research and provide essential permit information and documentation requirements to residents, business owners, and contractors under Collier County, alongside performing standard administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage licensing and permitting activities, including the application process, review workflow, and permit issuance.
- Review applications to ensure conformity and compliance with City standards and code ordinances.
- Monitor and report on the approval workflow to ensure timely processing.
- Identify potential problematic areas in the permitting process and provide guidance to resolve them.
- Consult with the Permitting Manager to address any specific issues.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- 5 years of experience in an administrative role (e.g., Office Clerk, Front Desk, Customer Service Representative).
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of the permitting process is a plus, but training will be provided.
