Job Summary
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a structural steel manufacturing environment. This role supports production operations by maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems that power robotic welding cells, CNC cutting equipment, overhead/gantry cranes, conveyors, blast systems, and paint/coating lines while ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems supporting structural steel fabrication, welding, material handling, and paint/coating operations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues related to robotic welding systems, CNC equipment, conveyors, overhead/gantry cranes, and automated production lines
  • Maintain and repair industrial control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), PLCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize production downtime
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment, robotics, and automation systems
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system modifications
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, robotics interfaces, sensors, automation, and motor control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
Weekend work may be required based on production needs.
