Essential Job Function
The CNC Machinist/deburr position produces machined parts by setting up and operating CNC grinding Machines and deburring of turbine blades using soft abrasive wheels. Provides support to other Machinists; work assignments, technical support and meeting daily business goals under the supervision and direction of the Production supervisor.
This is a 2nd shift (4:00PM-12:30 AM) position, looking for any level of experience with basic machining and utilization of inspection equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally and written.
- Positively works through technical problems with other Machinists and/or Lead.
- Supports company rules, policies, respective duties.
- Assist in troubleshooting problems.
- Coordination with leads and other support staff.
- Ensuring the second shift hand off is clear.
- Coordinate with supporting departments when assistance is required including but not limited to Engineering, Quality, Etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to work well with others.
- Understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques.
- Able to perform set-ups
- Attention to detail.
- Manual dexterity - fine motor control and strong hand-eye coordination
- Maintain high level of focus for extended periods.
- Self-motivated, able to monitor own performance and adjust as needed to meet productivity standards.
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as blueprints, Opsheet and written work instructions.
- Ability to do math conversions for material and machine usage as well as inventory control.
- Requires strong attention to detail, safety consciousness and concern for quality work.
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team member.
- Requires the ability to make independent decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Trains and instructs other employees as directed.
- May perform other duties as requested
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED.
